Auto-phoresis or Auto-deposition is an ecological surface treatment for carbon steel components, realized in special auto-phoresis coating plants, and improves resistance to corrosion. It consists in a deposition of organic drops through a chemical reaction with positive ions released from the treated metal. This process has a high covering power and is declared as eco-friendly because of its very low environmental impact.
